3 Fort Campbell Soldiers Killed in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON -- The Pentagon says three U.S. soldiers killed in Afghanistan were assigned to Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

The soldiers were killed Saturday in what an Afghan official calls an "insider attack."

A member of the Afghan army opened fire on the American troops during a joint military operation.      The Afghan soldier was killed during the incident.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Pentagon says the soldiers killed are Sgt. Eric Houck of Baltimore, Sgt. William Bays of California and Corporal Dillon Baldridge of North Carolina.    They were all assigned to the 101st Airborne Division.
