"Live PD" Takes National Audience To Clarksville Shooting Scene

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. -- A show described as "the ultimate ride-a-long" took viewers right to the scene of Saturday night's officer involved shooting in Jeffersonville.

The show is A & E's "Live PD" which puts crews with officers in Jeffersonville and five other cities across the country, showing everything from traffic stops to foot chases on live TV.

Last Saturday night, the show had a crew with Jeffersonville K-9 Officer Susan Woodard when she got the call on the Metro Corrections officer shot at his home, airing the initial call on live TV along with the search of the area by Officer Woodard and her K-9 Blitz.

Executive Producer David Doss says they had a close eye on the situation and had the footage from the scene live but on a small delay in case something happened.

Doss says they "err on the side of caution" and make sure what airs does not cause welfare issues for the officers they follow.
