LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- U of L has a new deal with the KFC Yum! Center and the fans will feel the burden.
The new deal calls for U of L to increase their payments by $55 million to do its part to keep the arena's bonds from defaulting.
To come up with the money, U of L Athletic Director Tom Jurich says everything is on the table, including charging admission to events that had previously been free.
Interim President Greg Postel says reports that Jurich was not involved in the deal are false, adding Jurich had been involved since January.
Postel told the board the revised deal is the last one the school will negotiate, saying " we're not going to have this conversation again."
