Churchill Unveils $32 Million Parking, Transportation Project

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Churchill Downs is getting another multi-million dollar upgrade.  

The track unveiled a $32 million project to improve parking and transportation around the track.

It will feature an enlarged bus depot, as well as a pedestrian plaza and enlarged paddock entrance gate. 

Churchill says a portion of premium tickets for the Kentucky Derby will include an onsite parking permit, while the majority of tickets will include an offsite permit to park at the Kentucky Expo Center.

Construction is already underway, with Phase 1 adjacent to Central Avenue shceduled for completion before the Spring Meet.    Phase 2 adjacent to Longfield Avenue will begin after next year's Derby.
