Rabbit Hole Making Progress

LOUISVILLE, Ky  --  Its still a major construction site, but things are coming together at a new distillery located in Nulu.   The still is in, the fermentation tanks are in place, but there's still a great deal of work to be done before Rabbit Hole Distilling comes on line.

Rabbit Hole Distiller Kaveh Zamanian says the distillery is on schedule to open to the public before Derby 2018, with am attached restaurant opening sometime during the summer of 2018.  Zamanian says the $15 million project will eventually be able to produce 1.2 million proof gallons of distilled spirts a year, but will start at a lower level when it becomes operational.

Rabbit Hole is currently producing bourbon, rye, and a bourbon aged in sherry casks, as well as a gin. While currently contracting with another distiller to produce its bourbon...the bourbon and rye were "double gold" winners at a recent New York Spirit competition.
