LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A second suspect has died after last week's shootout with Louisville Police officers.

The coroner says 38-year-old Billy Ray Riggs died Saturday at University of Louisville Hospital of a gunshot wound.

Police say Riggs and three other men exchanged gunfire with LMPD narcotics detectives during a traffic stop in Buechel.

One officer, Darrell Hyche, was shot in the head and face.   He survived and is recovering at home.  Another suspect, Alexander Sampson, died at the scene.
