Bourbon Bottling Facility Planned for Old Pillsbury Plant

NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- The old Pillsbury plant in New Albany will soon become a whiskey bottling facility.

Sazerac is investing $66 million in the project, and the facility could begin operations as soon as November.

Sazerac is a family-owned business that operates the Buffalo Trace, Barton and Glenmore distilleries in Kentucky.

The Pillsbury plant has been vacant since 2016 when it was sold by General Mills, putting 400 people out of work.

Sazerac will employ up to 110 workers at the New Albany plant.
