LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Kentucky-based soldier was killed in Iraq this week.

The Pentagon says Chief Warrant Officer Taylor Galvin was killed in a helicopter crash in Iraq.

The 34-year-old Galvin, who was from Spokane, Washington, was a pilot assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment out of Fort Campbell.

There are no indications the crash was caused by hostile fire, but the incident is under investigation.
