KY Lawmakers Convene in Old Capitol

FRANKFORT, Ky. -- A historic meeting of the Kentucky General Assembly.

Lawmakers convened in the Old State Capitol building in Frankfort on Tuesday.

The National Historic Landmark was the center of Kentucky government from 1830 to 1910.

Famous Kentuckians have walked the hallways of the old capitol building, including Henry Clay. In 1900, newly-elected Governor William Goebel was assassinated there.

During today's brief session, the legislators received a surprise visit from an Abraham Lincoln impersonator.
