Gov. Bevin Defends Request For Names Of Teachers Who Protested

(Frankfort, KY) - Governor Matt Bevin is defending the Kentucky Labor Cabinet's request for the names of teachers who called in sick the same days as protests in Frankfort.

Governor Bevin spoke to Terry Meiners on NewsRadio 840 WHAS Wednesday, saying it's the Labor Cabinet's job to protect Kentucky against illegal labor practices.

Jefferson, Oldham and Bullitt County school districts have all confirmed they have been subpoenaed for the names.

Critics say the request will create more mistrust between educators and the governor's office.
