Louisville Tourism Expect To Lose Millions Due to COVID-19 Cancellations

(Louisville, KY) - Louisville tourism will lose millions due to cancellations from COVID-19 scares

The city's tourism bureau estimates a loss of nearly $58 million after a number of meetings and conventions pulled out this week.

A total of 14 organizations have canceled, leaving nearly 69,000 hotel rooms unbooked and 122,000 attendees not coming to town after all. 

Annually, tourism in Louisville generates an estimated economic impact of $3.5 billion including convention, corporate and leisure travel.
