LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Mayor Greg Fischer is ending the curfew in the city, effective immediately.

Fischer ended curfew days ahead of the June 8th deadline, after talking with command staff and others in community. He says that if calm remains, the curfew will not be activated again.

Fischer says he still believes that a lot of the "anarchy" and destruction of Friday night is due to people who were from out of town. There have been 176 arrests since the protests began, including three made Wednesday night.

Lt. Col. Josh Judah, who oversees ground operations during the protest, says they are still seeing a lot of looting after the protests are done and the crowds leave. He asked if anybody has information about any looting to please call the anonymous tip line at 574-LMPD.
