Louisville Mayor Asks For Residents To Help Choose New Police Chief

(Louisville, KY) - Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer is asking for help from residents when it comes to picking the new police chief.

Fischer spoke in more detail Wednesday about the top-to-bottom review of the city's police department and its search for a new leader.

Residents are being asked to complete a survey listing the three skills they want to see in a chief, suggestions for improving policy and what a new chief needs to accomplish.

Former chief Steve Conrad was fired after Fischer learned his deputies didn't turn on their body cameras during the fatal shooting of David McAtee.
