Acting LMPD Chief, Public Safety Chief Walk Out Of Meeting

(Louisville, KY) - Acting LMPD Chief Rob Schroeder and Chief of Public Safety Amy Hess walked out of a Metro Council committee hearing Monday without answering any questions regarding the city's response to ongoing protests.

The meeting was the first by the Government Oversight and Audit Committee into Mayor Greg Fischer's handling of the death of Breonna Taylor and demonstrations that have followed.

Lawyers for Hess and Schroeder objected to questioning due to a lawsuit recently filed against LMPD and the city.
