Indiana Teachers Threaten Strike If Schools Aren't Opened 'Safely'

(Indianapolis, IN) - Add a teachers' strike to the list of back to school worries in Indiana.

One of the state's largest teachers' unions, the American Federation of Teachers in Indiana says its members will strike if schools across the state do not reopen 'safely.'

The union is already on the record against in-person classes and hybrid options this fall.

AFT Indiana represents over 4,500 teachers in 27 different school districts across the state.
