LMPD Calls For Help Slowing Rising Violence

(Louisville, KY) - LMPD is pleading with the community to help stop an "unprecedented amount of violence."

The plea came Tuesday, a day after Louisville's 99th and 100th homicide victims this year were shot and killed near Iroquois Park.

The city also had its 101st homicide Tuesday evening with a man killed in the Russell neighborhood.

There have also been at least 360 non-deadly shootings in Louisville this year, a 119-percent increase over last year.
