Landmark Highlands Restaurant To Close Down After Over Three Decades

Coronavirus Pandemic Causes Climate Of Anxiety And Changing Routines In America

(Louisville, KY) - The owners of the Uptown Café in the Highlands say they are closing their doors after more than 30-years in business.

The restaurant announced Tuesday on its Facebook page that it would be closing on November 28th and called it an end of an era.

Located on Bardstown Road, the popular eatery was billed as a Highlands original. 

Uptown Café was opened in 1985 by Nancy Shepherd and her husband David, who also owned Café Metro, which closed in 2009.
